MBBS, M.D. (Radiodiagnosis), D.M. (Neuroimaging & Interventional Neuroradiology)

Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist

A dedicated interventional neuroradiologist with specialized expertise in radial access neurointervention, acute stroke thrombectomy, and endovascular AVM management.

Dr. Kesha Meghashyam is an accomplished interventional neuroradiologist. A distinguished graduate of Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, he completed his M.D. in Radiodiagnosis from PGIMER, Chandigarh, earning the Silver Medal (First Order). He subsequently pursued his D.M. in Neuroimaging and Interventional Neuroradiology, also from PGIMER, Chandigarh, completing his advanced subspecialty training in 2023. Over the course of his academic journey, he was consistently recognized for excellence, receiving the Gold Medal for the highest aggregate marks in MBBS, as well as Gold Medals in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Medicine, and Pediatrics, and the Best Outgoing Student Award (IMA Hyderabad, 2016–2017).

With over six years of intensive hands-on experience managing complex neurovascular conditions, Dr. Meghashyam has established himself as a leader in minimally invasive neurointerventional techniques. He has dedicated expertise in the transradial approach for neurointervention. His particular passion lies in the endovascular management of brain and spine vascular malformations, including arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), as well as mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, where rapid and precise intervention is critical to preserving neurological function.

His work has been recognized on national and international platforms, with presentations at premier conferences including ISNR Delhi, ISNR Shimla, and Neurovascon Chandigarh. He has contributed to peer-reviewed literature in neurovascular and interventional imaging, and remains deeply committed to advancing the field.

As part of the team at RIVEA Vascular Institute, Dr. Meghashyam brings a rare and highly specialized dimension to the practice. His expertise in stroke thrombectomy, AVM embolization, and transradial neurointervention complements and extends the institute's capabilities, ensuring that patients with the most complex cerebrovascular conditions receive world-class, comprehensive care. His commitment to safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes aligns seamlessly with RIVEA's mission of delivering excellence at every level of vascular medicine.
